Free classes twice a week, taught in Vietnamese and English by volunteers who have been through the interview themselves. You don't need to be a member, or a Christian.

Twelve weeks, four stepsMười hai tuần, bốn bước
Most students take the whole twelve weeks. Some join halfway through because their interview is close.
Step 1: Sign up
Use the form above or come to Room 4 on a Tuesday at ten. Bring your green card so we know your timeline.
Step 2: Learn the questions
Twice a week, ten questions at a time, in both languages until you can answer in English without thinking.
Step 3: Mock interview
A volunteer plays the officer, with the reading, writing and civics test, exactly as it happens on the day.
Step 4: Oath ceremony
We come to the ceremony in Los Angeles with flowers. Then we take a photo for the bulletin, if you want one.

We can't give legal advice. We refer students to a free nonprofit legal clinic on Bolsa Avenue that does the forms and the fee waivers.

Start with the Saturday English conversation group, then join the citizenship class when you're ready. Many students do both.

We open with a short prayer and end on time. That's all. Plenty of our students are Buddhist or Catholic, and they are equally welcome.
