Why Sent looks the way it does
Sent is a missions ministry site with a full-bleed forest photo of a footbridge, a black and white interface and a stats column. The mood is documentary, with enough room for field stories.

Typography
DM Serif Display sets the headline in a large, high-contrast serif that looks like a newspaper front page. DM Sans handles body text and the interface in a clean geometric style. The pair comes from the same family tradition, so it hangs together.
Colour
The interface is almost monochrome, off-white (#F7F7F5) and black (#111111), with a single signal red (#D4382C) used sparingly. The photographs supply the colour. A limited interface palette keeps attention on the pictures from the field.
Layout and navigation
A white bar carries a round black monogram, the name, six links and a black Give button. Below the hero a four-cell strip gives practical details. The stats column reports 14 countries, 62 teams sent and 9,400 people served, which are the numbers a trip leader needs to cite.
The hero
A footbridge disappearing into a dark forest fills the screen, which suggests a journey. The headline 'The world is closer than you think.' runs across the full width at about 100 pixels. A dark gradient protects the white text over the lighter foliage.
Calls to action
'Go on a trip' is a solid black button and 'Support a team' is an outlined button. The two paths match the two kinds of visitor, those who go and those who send. A chip points to the next Info Night.
Photography
The photography is moody and cinematic, using landscapes and journey imagery. For a real missions agency, honest field photos are important, with attention to the dignity of the people shown and no savior imagery. Consent and context for every portrait matter.
Accessibility
White text over the darkened forest remains legible, and body text on the off-white page is about 17.6 to 1. The black buttons carry white text at about 19 to 1. Red is never the only signal for any state.
