Planted by the river

Since 1989 we have worshiped within sight of the water. It reminds us that grace is always moving.

Our story

Our story

Riverbank began in a living room above the old ferry office in 1989. Fourteen people gathered to sing and pray, and by spring they were baptizing a neighbor in the river below.

In 2004 we built our sanctuary, a low timber hall with a wall of windows facing the water. It has hosted over a thousand worship services and more potlucks than we can count.

Our mission is simple. We want to be a church that the town would miss if we disappeared. We hope that is true, and we hope you will help us keep it so.
