A low and steady flame
Ember began as a group of friends who wanted a quieter church. We are still small, still patient and still singing.
How it began
In 2020 five friends started meeting on Sunday evenings in a backyard in East Austin. They brought a guitar, a Bible and a firepit. Neighbors began to show up.
When the weather turned they moved indoors to a converted warehouse on Chicon Street, keeping the candles and the low light. The sound stayed acoustic, the talks stayed short, and the prayers stayed long.
We think of Ember as a church for those who need the day to be over before they can hear anything true. If that is you, there is a seat by the fire.

- Prayer is conversation with a God who listens.
- The church is a household of faith.
