Care without barriers
Since 2003, Open Hand Health has provided free, high-quality care to uninsured adults across Hamilton County.

Our history
Dr. Evelyn Ross opened Open Hand in 2003 in a church classroom with two exam tables and a borrowed blood-pressure cuff. She had seen too many patients arrive in emergency rooms with problems that were easy to treat early.
Volunteers from local hospitals joined. Pharmacies donated medications. In 2012, we moved to our current building on Vine Street with six exam rooms and a dental suite.
Today we run on volunteer clinicians, community donors and a single belief: health care should not depend on a paycheck.
